Xyron and Little Yellow Bicycle - Day Four!

We're heading towards the end of our week with Little Yellow Bicycle, but the Xyron Design Team sure isn't at the end of their creativity!  Today is all about versatility - the Acorn Hollow collection isn't just for Fall!

This card from Ann Corbiere-Scott makes me what?  HAPPY!!!!!  What a fabulous "thinking of you" or "happy birthday" card - getting this in the mail would make my day! Head on over to Ann's blog today for a quick tutorial on making an accordion card that is COVERED in flowers - gorgeous!

I love a cute mini album - and Van Nguyen's Family album totally fits the bill! The LYB embellishments make it so easy to put together quick, coordinating pages - on Van's blog today she shares each page of her mini album with you. What a lovely gift this would be for someone special!

Today is the LAST DAY to enter our giveaway - FIVE lucky people are going to win the entire LYB Acorn Hollow collection!  You have two ways to enter - leave a comment here on the blog and/or click on this link to enter through Facebook.  We'll announce the winnners on my Facebook page tomorrow morning. The more you enter the more chances you have to win!

Don't forget to check out the Little Yellow Bicycle blog for a SUPER CUTE layout today - and they are doing a giveaway of their own! Good luck - we'll see you tomorrow!

  1. LOVE the rosette card, but I have a terrible time getting my rosettes to stay stuck! Is there a secret to making the behave?

    1. GREAT question Sheri! I asked the DT for their thoughts, and we all sort of came to the same conclusion! :) Once you adhere the ends together use a thicker adhesive (like thick glue dots or foam tape) on the back of the rosette to hold it in place.

    2. Hey Beth I want to know how to make the rosettes. I thought I knew but I guess I don't because I can't get mine to come out like these.

    3. There are a few different ways you can make them - Cricut has a cartridge that cuts them out for you and you just fold: http://www.cricut.com/shopping/detail--Cricut-Ribbons--Rosettes-Cartridge-0-1495.aspx and Sizzix has a die cut that also makes them: http://www.sizzix.com/product/656931/sizzix-sizzlits-decorative-strip-die-paper-rosette and then some companies (like LYB) sell them already cut and you just fold them up in to a little accordion and shape them in to a circle. I'm sure there is a way to make them completely by hand - but I sure as heck don't know how! ;)

    4. Ah, that's good to know about the thicker adhesive. I'll give that a try! I love the rosette cuts on the Cricut Artiste cartridge but was frustrated with them not staying put and just gave up on them. Can't wait to try more now! :)
