We are halfway through the Xyron and Craftwell blog hop - and today we are heading back to our roots! So many of us started our creative journey with scrapbooking - so today we're using Craftwell Embossing Folders to add texture and fun to scrapbook layouts.
Solid cardstock takes center stage on any project when you emboss it - and this layout from Shellye McDaniel is a perfect example. The pattern makes the colors pop and adds tons of interest to the page - and Shellye shares a tutorial with us on her blog today!
You don't need a full sheet of 12x12 cardstock to bring a little zing to your layouts - Theresa Harris shares a tutorial for this scrapbook page on her blog today and shows us what you can create with leftover embellishments and few scraps of paper.
The Craftwell Design Team is hopping all week long on their blogs as well (see all of the links below) - get yourself entered for a set of TWELVE embossing folders! Imagine the creativity! We're getting in on the fun with some giveaways of our own - leave a comment here on the blog and one lucky winner will receive a Xyron 2.5" Create-A-Sticker! We'll announce the winner on our Facebook Page tomorrow - tune in every day this week for more great inspiration!

I love these layouts!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite pages are those that aren't overly fussy. The first page is just my "cup of tea". it's colorful, has some embellishment, but the pictures are the focal point of the page. the second has a little more embellishing but not enough to distract from the puppies.
ReplyDeletevery nice and would love to own some xyron products!! love the inspirations :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I'm a little disappointed that some of the blogs seem to only have one main project to show for this blog-hop. While they are all wonderful projects, after the third day seeing the same thing has gotten a little less exciting.
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts. I like the embossed background.
ReplyDeleteI see I am the winner but don't know how to contact you.
