Xyron, Simple Stories and May Arts - Day Five and a Giveaway!

The Xyron Design Team sure is sad to say goodbye to our blog hop with May Arts and Simple Stories - thanks so much to everyone who joined us and to the designers on all three teams who inspired us with their creations!

Turn an ordinary notebook in to a work of art!  Karen Jiles created this stunner using an inexpensive notebook and an amazing assortment of papers and embellishments.  We are so excited that she shared a tutorial with us on her blog so we can make this ourselves!

Know someone who is having a baby and thinks they don't have time to scrapbook?  Then head on over to Jessica Barnett's blog!  Today she shares an album that has 52 pages (yes!  52!) that need nothing more than photos to make them complete.  Imagine what joy it would bring someone to receive this as a gift - they would treasure it forever!  Jessica shares a bunch of the inside pages with us on her blog as well as some quick tips for creating this for someone you cherish.

Making your own wooden home decor is all the rage - and Shellye McDaniel shows us how its done on her blog today!  She shares a tutorial for creating this plaque that would be perfect for a house warming or as a wedding/shower gift.  Better yet - make one for yourself!  :)

Speaking of plaques - we think we just found our next project! The dimension and beautifully rich colors on this gorgeous wall hanging from Lori Williams add the perfect touch and would be a wonderful wedding/anniversary present for your favorite couple. Lori walks us through creating this on our own with a tutorial on her blog today.

We love the detailing and handmade embellishments on this faux canvas from Gini Cagle - so it is a good thing she shares a tutorial today on her blog so we can make this ourselves!  Her combination of patterns and textures really brings the page to life.

One of the best things about stamps is that they always fit every color scheme!  Just look at these two projects from Jenn Cochran. One is a stunning black and pink, the other has bright primary colors, and both projects use with the same stamp set.  Love it!

ok - the Xyron Design Team is more than a little bit in love with Lawn Fawn!  All week long we will be sharing projects created using their darling stamp sets, and the Lawn Fawn Design Team will be sharing projects on their blog as well.  We can't wait to see what everyone creates - today it is all about cards!

Techniques, techniques, techniques! On her blog today Ann Corbiere-Scott shares tutorials for THREE different techniques (and cards) she created with the same stamp set. This is a great way to get more bang for your buck!

Looking to add some new techniques to your cards?  Stamped images are the perfect starting point - check out this card from Shellye McDaniel where she used sewing and hand stitching and fussy cutting to bring texture and pizzazz to her stamped image. One of the best things about stamps is that you can create a card base, then stamp the sentiment/image when you need it for a specific occasion.  This project from Lori Williams is a perfect example, the card colors would have also made a perfect birthday card for your favorite fella or a 4th of July card.
