Yes...it is Tuesday. We're just rolling with it. :)
After wallowing around in self-pity after my move, I have FINALLY started getting my creative mojo back. My mom (aka Crafty Sharron) came to visit us last weekend, and I don't know if it was knowing she was coming, or having someone to work on projects with, or the beautiful weather, but both Don and I seemed to get our mojo back at the same time - and boy did we get stuff done! Later this week I'm going to show you some projects we finished and some that are in the works, but today I wanted to show you the video of my new studio. Looking back at the video of my old studio in NC it is sort of fun to see what I changed and what I didn't - and I think finally having it unpacked, getting things up on the walls and purging some old product really helped clear my mind and give me the kick in the pants I needed.
For those of you who've ever lost your creative mojo you know HOW GOOD it feels to get it back - and I wanted to say a heartfelt thanks and a sheepish apology to you. Thanks for putting up with my whinyness and bummed outedness (I'm sure these are both words) during this whole process. I am a little bit embarrassed by it, but I always want to be totally me with you...so sometimes I get what I get. Thanks for being there along the way!
PS - apparently I am "super excited" about a lot of things in this video. Who knew I said that so much?
Super excited is GREAT. Glad you have settled in and your mojo has returned. I know what a bummer it is when you lose the mojo. Your space looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear how appreciative you are of everything you have!! Blessings to you and Don and the dogs in your new home!
ReplyDeleteGreat craft room! It's fun to get things organized and set up after a move or big redo. It give you a chance to see all your supplies and figure out what works and what doesn't anymore. I like the nice big window to give you lots of light and the 'Wall of Happiness' is placed perfectly so you can be inspired by all those yummy supplies each time you walk into your room and handy so you can pick them off the wall as you work. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new space and have fun!
Your room came together great and looks like a really fun place to play! We're just a little ways up the road in Bonner, so I'll definitely be watching out for classes or anything you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteAlso, from the looks of you DH's project in earlier posts, I suspect he's got quite the stash of woodworking tools & such, but if he ever needs anything, give a shout, because I swear we could build a house - or a dollhouse - with JUST what my DH has stashed in the barn! He actually used to belong to the wood guild but just found it too hard to get to meetings (and the average age was easily 25 years above his!). Oh, and we've got 5 acres and a 2yo 90-lb German Shepherd, so we could have big, crazy dog playgroup LOL!
I've had great fun getting all the page packs I got from your move-in sale matched up with pictures, and a friend LOVED the fabric-covered princess book kit I got her there as well! :)
Oh my gosh Sheri...I know Don will gladly take you up on that! :) So glad you are digging all the goodies you got - we have to plan to get together!
DeleteLOVE how the new craft room looks!! Your enthusiasm is infectious and I can't wait to see what fabulousness you create in it! Best of luck settling in and enjoying your time in Kansas!!! ::hugs::
ReplyDeleteWOW!! What a great job you did with your room, it looks fantastic!! I sooo need to do this with mine. If you ever want to redo another room just let me know and you can do mine!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great--and the orange doesn't come off as Halloweeney via the video! Glad you were able to make the space work. When I see Expedits being used I always want to go get some, but I can't figure out how to make them work in my space. Seeing vertical and horizontal helped. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your new room with us! Looks great. Have fun creating!
ReplyDeleteYour room looks great!! Loved your comment about your mom-I am visiting my daughter soon and we will probably be organizing and crafting as she just moved into a new house. Enjoy your new home!!

Glad you got our of your "funk". I know how that can be. Thanks for putting up the video, it gives me some ideas of how to organize my crafting space...
ReplyDeleteEven though it is a smaller space, it makes it a little more cozy!
Blessings!
Love your new room!!! You did great putting it all in a smaller space. Missmyou

Looks like you are settling in beautifully! I'd be "super excited" with that room too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful crafting room! Looks great and very functional. Love the yoga ball for sitting on. That's What I usually use too. My back rarely bothers me when I use that to sit on an craft. Congratulations on your room.
ReplyDeleteMiss you a bunch! Love your new space. Wish I was there to chat, scrap, shop, & just hang!
