Xyron and Little Yellow Bicycle - Day Two!

I hope this Xyron/Little Yellow Bicycle partnership is getting you ready for Fall...I have been so inspired that I couldn't wait to make a few projects!

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and I wanted to create something special to decorate our Thanksgiving table.  I took an old mason jar (found in the cupboard) and a set of shot glasses (found a box of eight on clearance at Tuesday Morning)...

And created a centerpiece vase and coordinating place settings using just a few pieces of patterned paper and some embellishments from the LYB Acorn Hollow collection.

For the mason jar I cut a 3" strip of patterned paper, ran it through my Xyron 5" Creative Station (along with the two smaller strips for the shot glasses) and wrapped it around the jar. I tied some Maya Road burlap ribbon around the jar as well, then used my Xyron Mega Runner to adhere the LYB leaves and rosette to the back of my LYB thankful chipboard, then used a hot glue gun to adhere it to the front of the ribbon.  The LYB heart stick pin added the perfect touch!

I am TOTALLY in love with the LYB 5 Things Pockets! For these place settings I cut two 2x6" strips of patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad and ran them both through my 5" Creative Station (see above), then wrapped them around each glass.  I used a hot glue gun to apply the Maya Road ribbon and the Mega Runner to apply the leaves, button and chipboard, then adhered the self adhesive pockets. I used Kaisercraft Mini Alpha stickers to apply the name to each journaling square, popped them in the pockets, and I am ready for my Thanksgiving guests!

Christina Klauer is also in love with the LYB 5 Things Pockets!  Look at this darling layout she created - what a wonderful way to celebrate a special person in your life. On her blog today Christina shares two more layouts - and not a one of them is Fall themed!  This collection is so versatile!

We are so in love with the Acorn Hollow collection that FIVE lucky people are going to win the entire collection for themselves! Click on this link to enter (you can enter once per day) and on Friday we'll announce the winners on my Facebook page. Head on over to the LYB blog today as well - they are having a giveaway of their own, and have some super cute projects to share! See you tomorrow for more inspiration!

  2. Your decorations for the Thanksgiving table are adorable. I am getting so many ideas to decorate for the holidays. And the layout is something that I think the kids could help in. I can see using the pockets for them to acknowledge what they are thankful for.
