The holidays are fast approaching - and we want to inspire you with easy, creative, inexpensive handmade gift ideas! For the next two weeks the Xyron, Creative Imaginations and Design Memory Craft (Faber-Castell) Design Teams will share gift and card projects, instructions to complete them on your own, and some fabulous prizes along the way. We hope you'll join us!
Xyron DT member Angela Ploegman loves the idea of creating something new from something old - and she created the DARLING winter project (above) using an old frame she had laying around the house. Can you just see this on your mantle? She didn't stop there - she also took an old gift box and turned it in to the perfect treat box (below) for the holiday season. I know we all have some old boxes taking up space in our closets...think of the creations you could make! On Angela's blog today she walks you through the steps to complete these projects at home, and also shares a bookmark she created using leftover scraps. Love it!
We'd love to hear about the handmade projects you are creating this holiday season...and hope you will stay tuned to see what our design teams have in store for us over the next two weeks! Head on over to the Faber-Castell blog and the Creative Imaginations blog (they are BOTH having giveaways!!) for even MORE inspiration today! What a way to start the week!
beautifully done.

ReplyDeleteLove the frame & I just made a similar box.
ReplyDeleteGreat projects ! TFS .
ReplyDeleteThese are great, love when you can take what you have and give it a new life!
ReplyDeleteA friend gave me a wooden chair that had a cane seat. She'd taken the caning out of the seat, inserted a wire flower basket, painted the chair yellow, and planted flowers in the basket. It sat outside all summer. I've been picking up chairs and wire baskets at garage sales since then and I'm going to do the same thing to those chairs and give them as gifts.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fabulous!! I bet people will be thrilled to get that as a gift!
DeleteLove the projects!
ReplyDeleteI love both of these projects! It seems my family likes it when I crochet or bead something for them rather than anything paper crafted.
ReplyDeleteWonderful projects!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun and cute projects. Love the frame and how it was reused. I'm in the process of making books and cards for gifts, but with my gr. nieces, we are recycling old picture frames for gifts to mom & dad. After we visit Santa, we'll add that picture for the parents.
