Calling on my crafty peeps in the St. Petersburg/Tampa area! I am looking for an assistant to help me with prep for my HSN on-air presentations. If you like being up in the wee hours of the morning/all night long, playing with craft products and eating lots of junk food - then this could be the perfect job for you!
While this is not a traditional part-time job (it is only one - two days per month), this may be great for someone looking for a little extra spending money and a rare opportunity to be behind the scenes at a national television channel.
Who am I looking for?
Applicants must:
Be available for the ENTIRE 24-36 hours when I am at HSN. Understand that this is LIVE television so many airings occur in the middle of the night and the very early morning. Approximate dates will be available one month in advance, exact dates/times will be available two weeks in advance but times may change at a moment's notice so applicant must be flexible/able to handle last minute schedule changes.
Be familiar with the crafting industry - but do not have to be an "expert"/experienced crafter.
Submit to criminal background check.
Have your own car and insurance.
What's in it for you?
$15 per hour - amount of hours per month will vary. Must fill out IRS form W-9 and will be responsible for your own taxes.
Guest pass to the Emplorium (HSN employee store with AMAZING discounts). Greatest perk ever!
Opportunity to work behind the scenes at the HSN studios, add something unusual to your resume, hang out with other on-air guests and see the latest and greatest crafting products.
I will be in St. Petersburg on February 11th for interviews. If you are interested please email me at aintshecrafty@gmail.com with contact information, a short bio, brief work history (if any), a link to your blog (if you have one - not mandatory) and any questions you may have. I will reply to all emails to acknowledge receipt and potential candidates will be contacted further to schedule an interview.
Thanks so much - look forward to starting this adventure!
Uh Ma'am...I'd like to apply for the job...you don't even have to pay me because I'll already be there. I'm pretty good at crafting, the only problem I see is that we'd have to fight over the cinnamon Pop Tarts...Luv you, Anna Griffin
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaha!!!! How I love me some Anna Griffin!!!! Don't you know that I am YOUR back up singer already? :)
DeleteRemember Julie in March
ReplyDeleteI want Julie to be with me EVERY month! :)
DeleteWishing I lived in Florida right about now. Good luck- sounds like a great gig!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to come, but I've been buried under snow since Christmas. I've never seen so much snow and I've lived in Michigan for my whole life! Yay! 5-7" more tonight........jeez.
ReplyDeleteI live just outside of Houston and I teach math, but this sounds like a dream job. All of my friends say I should sell crafts because as soon as I learn about a new product I am letting everybody else know about it. I wouldn't make any money on it, but I would love to fly out and do this every month. I would probably buy everything on HSN! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just sent you an e-mail! :)
ReplyDeleteum, I think me and Debb W. are definitely interested!!
ReplyDeletewell then you guys better move down to Tampa! :)
